A new generation of Florigo range for a new generation of Florigo friers - James' grandfather bought the land many years ago when it was on the outskirts of Yeovil. He then took a brave decision along with his son John to build a fish & chip restaurant with 90 covers and parking for 60 cars.
James Palmer, John's son, took delivery of his new Florigo last month; he now deals with the day to day running of Palmers which is a purpose built fish & chip restaurant and take away. Palmers have an enviable reputation for quality food and great service, customers travel from miles around to dine there.
Over the subsequent years the town of Yeovil rapidly expanded putting the restaurant between the old town and the towns new retail park, supermarket and housing estate. This coupled with Palmers exceptional reputation for quality means trade has continued to increase beyond all expectations. James and his father John knew historically Florigo had always lead the way in new technology but were not sure if this was still so.
Having travelled to different shops such as Chez Fred in Bournemouth they then went to the Factory in the Netherlands to see what Florigo had to offer. James and John were both amazed at the progress and advances that Florigo have made over the last few years. Impressed also with Florigo's reputation for reliability they subsequently ordered their nine pan range, over seven metres long and hand crafted from a single top sheet!
Speaking to Robert Furey of Florigo UK Ltd, 'This is one of the longest ranges we have installed. We were delighted with the installation process, from arriving on site to commissioning took less than 24 hours so as to minimise any inconvenience or loss of trade.'
'We chose the new Florigo because we had a Florigo range before and were very happy with it, because of this we were more than happy to have another' says Ben Palmer, 'we can cook more in a shorter time and it more than keeps up with demand.
