Pippa Gillett is no stranger to hard work, after all her parents own Brocklands (a large amusement park in North Cornwall) and for 18 years she ran the restaurant on site. After marrying Paul, who was a bank manager and with 3 children in tow - they decided to invest in a place of their own - and Gillett's Chippy was born!

Since buying the Chippy 12 months ago, they realised they would have to invest in the premises, the existing range was old and the shop was in desperate need of complete renovation, but they also knew they had to find out if they could make it work before investing in the refurbishment & a new range.

After a very successful first summer season, increasing the turnover by 25% that first year alone, Pippa & Paul started to look around at ranges available, after seeing an article in a magazine about a shop in the South West, with a new range installed, she called the owners direct to ask their opinion - that was it, from then on she knew what range she wanted for their shop!

Pippa and Paul knew from their first season that 3 pans could not cope with demand in the high season so they opted to have a Florigo range with 2 fish pans, a 3 basket chip pan and an extra snack pan which would see them through the busiest times - together with Flotronic computer controls and mirror doors on the hot boxes they had the range they had always dreamed of.

Robert Furey M.D of Florigo UK Limited was on hand to guide them through the process from design and planning to leasing and installation - says Pippa 'Robert has to be one of the easiest sales people we have ever dealt with, he made it a pleasure not a chore - he even advised us on how to get the window spot lit!! In fact the whole team at Florigo, from the staff in the office to the install team, have made this a very enjoyable experience indeed.'

Also a huge thank you must go to Paul Sofield and his sidekick Pete, they somehow managed to get all the shop fitting done and we managed to open 3 days earlier than scheduled!

Gillett's is now open again, with sunny lemon walls and a sparkling new Florigo range, a family working together - Pippa & Paul and daughter Vanessa - with two more Gillett's growing fast this is a family business for the future!
